When I was born, I never got a chance to meet my biological mother. The woman who raised me was my grandmother who told me all the story of my mothers life before I was born. True to the words, my mother was indeed pregnant with me. She had to hide it because if the soldiers found out she was to be forced to abort it. I was secretly born but it was too late, the soldiers had already known and the night of my birth they stormed in to the house but I was not there, my grandmother had gone hiding with me. They captured my mother for she got pregnant which was illegal and they told her they were going to punish her for hiding the baby. They did not even wait for her to heal; they tied her up and dragged her along. We went to an unknown village with my grandmother who was too old to care for me and I had to learn how to take care of myself. In the village, I used to envy the children there as they played with their mothers and I desired that too. I used to wonder why my own mother was too old, so I went to ask her why she was too old she told me the she was not my mother and that my mother was going to come back someday. I stated praying to God to allow my mother to come back to us, as I wanted to play with her.

This became my prayer for more than a year, time went by but I never gave up the hope of one day meeting my mother again. As I was turning 4, I kept asking God for this one miracle that I see my mother again even if it was just to know how she looked like as those days there were no photographs. As we were having dinner with my grandmother, a woman came and asked for a woman who turned to be my grandmother. As I looked at her I saw tears following down and asked what was wrong, she could not speak; after she gained the courage, she told me that was my mother. I could not believe it this woman in front of me was my mother. Up to today I could not believe the feeling, I felt when I saw my mother for the first time.
